The RealReal is a US luxury consignment marketplace founded in 2011. It sells pre-owned fashion, jewelry, watches, art and home furnishings through its website and stores. Its teams authenticate, price and photograph goods before they go on sale.

Role & Responsibilities

• Own the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) lifecycle across a complex stakeholder environment, from creation and validation through publication, adoption, audit, and iteration.
• Establish SOP governance standards, including ownership, change approvals, version control, and audit cadence.
• Build and maintain a single source of truth for operational documentation.
• Implement mechanisms that ensure SOP compliance and adherence, and support the rollout of new tools, initiatives, and process changes across teams.
• Partner with Inbound Operations leaders and cross-functional teams to translate complex processes into clear SOPs, actionable training, and documentation.
• Work with cross-functional leadership to analyze program performance and identify workflow improvements and operational gaps.
• Advocate for opportunities to improve organizational performance and morale.
• Connect teams to drive clarity, adoption, and consistency.
• Drive measurable improvements in throughput, quality, or cost.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience implementing workflow governance and SOPs across complex stakeholder environments.
• Experience designing and implementing end-to-end operational workflows.
• Strong experience with process mapping tools, such as Visio and Lucidchart.
• Demonstrated ability to standardize fragmented processes across sites and teams.
• Experience implementing governance or quality systems.
• Proven experience building and scaling enablement or training programs in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously across cross-functional teams while remaining flexible and responsive to dynamic situations and changing priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex operational processes into clear, actionable guidance; experience working cross-functionally with operations, product, and leadership teams.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with executive presence.
• Experience working at both strategic and tactical levels.
• Strong change-agent and advocate for organizational initiatives, with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Comfort operating without clear ownership boundaries and proven ability to influence without direct authority.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scrappy, and gritty environment, with a willingness to build the plane while flying it.
• Knowledge of luxury products is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to travel 15%.
