The RealReal is hiring a Luxury Goods Authenticator in Phoenix, Arizona, to inspect and authenticate consigned luxury apparel, handbags, shoes, and accessories, record product details, and write product descriptions. The role is full-time and onsite, with an expected hourly rate of $19.00.
Role & Responsibilities
- Review and authenticate luxury clothing, handbags, shoes, and accessories using TRR methodology and following acceptance and condition standards.
- Locate brand identifiers, including holograms, date codes, authenticity cards, and hallmarks, and evaluate product materials and construction.
- Consult internal authentication resources to review products accurately.
- Stay informed about current brand trends and developments.
- Record and report product details in the back-end TRR system.
- Write informative product descriptions using industry-standard fashion terminology.
- Enter pertinent product information, including measurements and fabrication, into the inventory system.
Qualifications
- Experience working in the retail or fashion industry.
- Strong fashion knowledge, including top designers and brands, current trends, fabrics, and garment construction.
- Proven ability to excel in a high-volume, repetitive environment.
- Self-motivation and drive to achieve results.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Adaptability and openness to change.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours at a time.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Proficiency with Mac OS and Google Suite.
