The RealReal Driver serves clients and transports consigned products to authentication centers, safely operating and maintaining company vehicles while managing pickups, deliveries, records, and route communications. The role is full-time and onsite in Perth Amboy, New Jersey; the expected rate is $21.50 per hour, with starting pay based in part on location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive routes supporting store operations or curbside pickup.
- Operate and maintain company vehicles safely and efficiently, including managing servicing and maintenance such as oil and tire changes.
- Maintain ongoing communication with management and the dispatcher, tracking product pickups and drop-offs.
- Identify route issues and escalate them as appropriate.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with clients and coworkers.
- Load, transport, and drive without assistance, meeting the role’s physical requirements.
- Handle pickups and drop-offs accurately and on time.
- Follow inventory control procedures and prepare accurate paperwork and records.
- Assist with store operations as needed.
- In San Francisco, pack and scan products using internal apps on the road and at the office, then ship them to authentication centers.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years old, with a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- At least 1 year of route transportation experience.
- Able to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry wheeled plastic bins over inclines, stairs, and changes in walking surfaces and elevations.
- Able to lift at least 70 lbs and walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
- Able to pass pre-employment substance abuse screening, a background check, and an MVC background check.
- Demonstrated safe and efficient driving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork.
- Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to following and enforcing all safety and security procedures.
- Able to load and unload the shuttle safely.
- Punctual and available to work overtime as needed.
- In San Francisco, able to pack and scan products using internal apps on the road and at the office, and ship them to authentication centers.
- Preferred: proficiency with Mac OS and Google Suite.
