The RealReal is hiring an Assistant Manager, Fine Jewelry and Watches to oversee the development and performance of its Fine Jewelry and Watches Authentication teams, including a team of approximately 15–20 people. The role leads coaching, training, KPI delivery, and floor operations in partnership with department management; some holidays, weekends, early and late hours may be required. The expected annual salary range is $75,000–$80,000, with starting pay dependent on work location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of approximately 15–20 people.
- Conduct formal and informal feedback conversations to support team development.
- Partner with the Manager to hold the team accountable for meeting or exceeding department goals and demonstrating company values.
- Work with the management team to address team training and development opportunities.
- Ensure weekly ramp-up goals are met for new hires and authenticators undergoing cross-training.
- Hold the team accountable for policies and procedures, including time and attendance.
- Communicate company initiatives and critical messages to the Authentication team.
- Maintain team engagement through daily coaching and motivation.
- Drive team KPIs and engagement while running the floor.
- Empower team members and delegate to promote individual growth.
- Build and maintain effective interdepartmental relationships.
- Ensure support functions meet department needs each day.
- Partner with the management team to advance business strategies that improve production and department results.
- Manage daily operational tasks according to brand standards.
- Act as a brand ambassador and advocate for The RealReal.
- Communicate and report on the team's daily performance.
Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience managing a team in e-commerce or website, retail, an auction house, the watch or jewelry industry, or comparable roles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Outstanding work ethic and attention to detail.
