The Visual Associate serves as an ambassador of Saks Fifth Avenue store presentation standards, maintaining merchandising across departments and partnering with Selling Advisors, operations, and selling teams. Role & Responsibilities
- Uphold store presentation standards across sales-floor merchandise, specific brand requirements, and company expectations.
- Support and complete projects, including large-scale relayering throughout the store.
- Maintain merchandising standards across all departments on the selling floor, with particular attention to areas requiring continual upkeep, including Shoes, Handbags, Men's Advanced Designer, and Sale.
- Support closing routines in line with the “close to open” philosophy.
- Partner with Selling Advisors on floor presentation and maintenance.
- Align the schedule with Selling Advisors to be present when merchandise standards are most at risk.
- Act as a liaison between operations and selling teams to support an elevated client shopping experience.
- Inspire colleagues through recommendations, step in to complete tasks, build trust quickly, and gain cooperation with minimal disruption.
- Support training for fellow Brand Steward Associates.
- Maintain a professional, polished demeanor, demonstrating confidence and a positive attitude.
- Take initiative to resolve problems, seek out responsibilities, and follow through on projects and tasks.
- Handle additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in retail or another fast-paced environment.
- Current knowledge of trends and company presentation standards.
- Strong understanding of the company brand.
- Availability for flexible opening, late-day, holiday, and weekend shifts.
- Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with people.
