The Brand Steward Associate serves as the visual presentation ambassador for Saks Fifth Avenue, reporting to the Visual Manager. This role is responsible for maintaining the highest merchandising standards across all departments, with particular focus on key categories including shoes, handbags, and men's advanced designer. The incumbent will work on the sales floor to ensure consistent brand presentation standards, support large-scale relayering projects, and foster collaboration between operations and selling teams to deliver an elevated client shopping experience.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as an ambassador of store standards, including merchandise presentation, brand-specific requirements, and company expectations
  • Maintain merchandising standards throughout all departments, with particular focus on shoes, handbags, men's advanced designer, and sale sections
  • Support and execute large-scale relayering projects and merchandise initiatives
  • Foster relationships with Style Advisors to partner in floor presentation and maintenance
  • Support closing routines using the close-to-open philosophy to ensure seamless daily transitions
  • Act as a liaison between operations and selling teams to ensure clients experience elevated service
  • Mentor and support fellow Brand Steward Associates through ongoing training
  • Remain up to date with the latest trends and maintain awareness of company presentation standards
  • Maintain a professional and polished demeanor that demonstrates confidence and a positive attitude
  • Execute ad hoc responsibilities and special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in retail or other fast-paced environments
  • Strong understanding of luxury retail brand standards and presentation principles
  • Demonstrated passion for merchandising and visual presentation
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work opening, late-day, holiday, and weekend shifts with flexibility
  • Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with team members and clients

Experience
