The Assistant Store Manager at HUGO BOSS’s South Coast Store in Costa Mesa leads store operations, sales, service, inventory control, compliance, staff development and community engagement. This is a full-time role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional shopping experience and a positive impression of HUGO BOSS through compelling merchandise presentations and operational strategies that support positive operating profits.
- Train and develop staff using effective communication; deliver exceptional customer service, drive business with the merchant group, and solve problems.
- Lead the team to achieve sales and profit goals through top-line sales support, profit and loss management, and inventory control.
- Build a goal-oriented selling culture focused on relationship selling, client-base development, and exceptional service.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, walk-throughs, and audits.
- Monitor performance, provide direction, and take corrective action when needed.
- Develop community relationships through personal involvement, public relations events, and advertising opportunities.
- Evaluate performance issues and actively recruit candidates.
- Work varied hours and days to oversee store operations.
- Ensure Health & Safety requirements are met and empower store staff to uphold high standards in support of store management.
- Maintain knowledge of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure Health & Safety documentation is accurately recorded and maintained.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 2–3 years of specialty retail management experience.
- Able to process information and merchandise through computer and POS register systems.
- Able to communicate with associates and guests.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
