The Assistant Store Manager at HUGO BOSS supports store operations, sales and profit performance, inventory control, staff development, customer experience, and health and safety compliance. The role requires 2–3 years of specialty retail management experience and the ability to work varied hours and days; it is full-time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional shopping experience and convey a positive impression of HUGO BOSS.
- Showcase the brand through engaging merchandise presentations and execute operational strategies that support positive operating profits.
- Train and develop staff using effective communication skills; deliver exceptional customer service, drive business with the merchant group, and solve problems.
- Lead the team to support sales, profit and loss management, and inventory control.
- Establish a goal-oriented selling culture focused on relationship selling, building a client base, and exceptional service.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, walk-throughs, and audits.
- Monitor performance, provide direction, and take corrective action when needed.
- Build community relationships through personal involvement, public relations events, and advertising opportunities.
- Evaluate performance issues and actively recruit candidates.
- Work varied hours and days to oversee store operations.
- Ensure applicable health and safety requirements are met and empower store staff to uphold high standards in support of store management.
- Maintain knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure health and safety documentation is accurately recorded and maintained.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 2–3 years of specialty retail management experience.
- Excellent organizational, time management, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Independent, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and entrepreneurial approach.
- Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to process information and merchandise through a computer system and POS register system.
- Ability to communicate with associates and guests.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
