Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of dishes, flatware, pots, pans and food preparation areas by scraping food from dirty dishes, washing them by hand and/or loading them into racks or a conveyor dishwashing machine.
- Wash pots, pans, kitchen tools and trays; sweep and mop kitchen floors, banquet service areas and hallways.
- Fulfil guest requests involving kosher dishes and the preparation and setup of items for special occasions.
- Identify and report imperfections and blemishes, and work with other team members to correct them.
- Communicate with other departments and the wider hotel team to maintain alignment.
Qualifications
- Communicate comfortably in English, the hotel’s primary language.
- Demonstrate a commitment to service excellence and creativity.
- Show strong communication skills and a customer-service ethic.
- Pay close attention to detail.
- Work collaboratively and flexibly across shifts, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Stand and walk for up to 8 hours; bend, stoop and crouch; use hand, finger and wrist dexterity; and lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
