The Beverly Hills Hotel, a Dorchester Collection property, is hiring a Cook to support its Lobby Café and Hotel Bar as part of a major dining and entertainment expansion. The role covers food preparation, kitchen upkeep and coordination with hotel teams; it is permanent and full-time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by applying cutting and measurement techniques and using and maintaining knives.
- Apply cooking skills and communicate with the team to ensure excellent quality and service for guests.
- Help cooks and chefs keep kitchen areas clean, tidy and restocked when requested.
- Maintain kitchen work areas, restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Report imperfections and blemishes and work with colleagues in other roles to correct them.
- Communicate with other departments and the wider hotel team to maintain alignment.
- Meet the role’s physical requirements, including walking, handling tools and controls, reaching, speaking, hearing, tasting, smelling, standing, and occasionally sitting, stooping, kneeling or crouching; regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Work a flexible schedule across various shifts, including days, nights, weekends and holidays, and in extreme temperatures, including freezers at -10°F and kitchens at +110°F.
