The Overnight Security Officer secures The Beverly Hills Hotel through patrols, surveillance, access control and emergency response, while assisting guests and coordinating with hotel teams. Role & Responsibilities
- Secure the premises and personnel by patrolling the property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment and access points, and controlling entry.
- Conduct fire and safety patrols on all shifts.
- Communicate clearly with guests, visitors, management and team members in person and by telephone to support an excellent guest experience.
- Fulfil guest requests involving loss prevention and personal escorts to and from hotel rooms, including on occasions such as weddings.
- Report imperfections and maintenance issues and work with other roles to address them.
- Communicate with other departments and the extended hotel team to maintain alignment.
- Physically patrol the property and check in with all departments.
- Respond quickly to emergencies, including fire and medical calls.
- Perform CPR, including kneeling and chest compressions for extended periods as necessary.
- Physically defend themselves in an altercation with a suspect in accordance with the rules of engagement.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Security Officer or in relevant work is required.
- Must possess and maintain CPR/First-Aid certification.
- Hotel, bar and/or restaurant experience is preferred.
- A valid State Guard Card is a plus.
- Demonstrate commitment to service excellence and creativity.
- Communicate comfortably in English, the hotel's primary language.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service ethic.
- Flexibility to work in a hotel that operates continuously.
