Role & Responsibilities
- Clean and organize assigned guest rooms and room areas while caring for a designated number of rooms each day.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures and standards; anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to guests, and provide accurate information about hotel services.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization in assigned work areas.
- Use cleaning chemicals appropriate to designated surfaces in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
- Clean guest rooms according to category priority; transport and secure the cart with cleaning supplies, amenities and linens; service assigned rooms; replenish amenities in the correct quantities and locations; inspect room items and condition, and report discrepancies to leadership.
- Fulfil guest requests concerning linens, amenities, furniture arrangements and special occasions.
- Identify and report imperfections and blemishes, and work with other roles to correct them.
- Communicate with all departments to maintain alignment.
- Stand or walk continuously; occasionally climb ladders to heights exceeding 12 feet; frequently crouch, push or pull, squat and work above shoulder level; continuously grasp and perform fine manipulation with both hands; carry 25–35 pounds over flat and uneven surfaces and up and down stairs for distances up to 150 feet; and work indoors and outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions.
