The Beverly Hills Hotel seeks a Prep Cook for The Supper Club, supporting the launch of new dining and entertainment venues. The role covers ingredient preparation, knife use and maintenance, cooking, kitchen upkeep, and coordination with colleagues and other departments; permanent, full-time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by cutting and measuring; use and maintain knives throughout the workday.
- Apply cooking skills and communicate with the team to deliver excellent quality and service to guests.
- When requested, help cooks and chefs keep the kitchen clean, tidy and restocked; maintain kitchen work areas, restaurant equipment and utensils in clean, orderly condition according to hotel procedures.
- Report imperfections and blemishes and work with colleagues in other roles to correct them.
- Communicate with other departments and the wider hotel team to maintain alignment.
Qualifications
- Able to work a flexible schedule across varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Able to walk, handle tools and objects, reach, talk, hear, taste and smell; stand frequently and occasionally sit, stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Able to regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 50 pounds.
- Vision abilities include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to work in extreme temperatures, including freezers at -10°F and kitchens at +110°F.
- Comfortable communicating in English.
