Coach is hiring a temporary, part-time Sales Support Associate for its Fashion Valley store in San Diego. The role supports client service, point-of-sale operations, shipment processing, stock replenishment, visual merchandising, and sales floor activities, with a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, peak season, and public holidays.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome clients warmly and professionally, anticipate their needs, and provide personalized assistance.
- Represent the brand internally and in the local market, and support social media engagement.
- Operate the point-of-sale system accurately, keep the cash wrap organized, and handle cash and payment media in accordance with policy.
- Recommend add-on products, promote gift cards, and capture customer information where permitted.
- Receive, process, and organize shipments and transfers; report discrepancies and maintain stockroom cleanliness.
- Manage stock levels, replenish the sales floor, and implement visual merchandising updates.
- Support sales floor activities, respond confidently to customer requests, and partner with team members or management as needed.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and follow Loss Prevention guidelines.
Qualifications
- At least 25 lbs lifting capacity regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally, with the ability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom.
- Current knowledge of fashion trends and the competitive marketplace.
- Knowledge of cash register systems and basic computer skills, including use of an iPad, laptop, Mobile POS, and the Internet; ability to use a walkie-talkie and understand and read price and product release sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong English proficiency.
Skills
Experience
At least 1 year of previous retail experience, such as cashiering, stock, or sales; luxury retail service experience preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
