Aesop seeks a Seasonal Retail Consultant to deliver personalized skincare and fragrance consultations, product demonstrations, and attentive customer service while supporting stock, inventory, and store presentation. This part-time contract runs through January 16, 2027; candidates must be available from November 1 through January 16, including weekends, with full availability required on specified weekends and no vacation during this period.
Role & Responsibilities
- Connect with customers through storytelling, understand their needs, and recommend products suited to their lives.
- Create personalized customer journeys, from a warm welcome and genuine engagement to product demonstrations and regimen building.
- Guide customers to the sink or fragrance area and demonstrate recommended products on their hands.
- Provide attentive service, recommend complete regimens and samples, and invite customers to return to build lasting relationships.
- Embody Aesop's values and seek support for continuous improvement.
- Follow grooming guidelines and retail standards to deliver a consistent five-senses experience.
- Complete stock, inventory, and store presentation tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience working successfully as part of a customer-focused team, ideally in retail or hospitality, with a keen eye for detail in selling and delivering tailored experiences.
- Customer-focused and commercially driven merchant mindset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in tactile product demonstrations.
- Passion for selling premium products and enthusiasm for Aesop's skincare and fragrance offerings.
- Ability to work on the sales floor for extended periods, use stairs and/or a ladder as needed, and regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent, ongoing basis; immigration support or sponsorship is not offered.
