Aesop is hiring a Seasonal Retail Consultant for a part-time contract ending January 16, 2027. The role focuses on personalized customer experiences, product demonstrations, regimen building, and retail essentials; candidates must be available November 1, 2026–January 16, 2027, including weekends, with no vacation during that period. The hourly rate is $20.12.
Role & Responsibilities
- Connect with customers, understand their needs, and use product storytelling to help them envision products in their lives.
- Create a personalized customer journey, from a warm welcome and genuine engagement to product demonstrations and regimen building.
- Guide customers to the sink or fragrance area and demonstrate recommended products on their hands.
- Provide attentive service, offer full regimens and samples, and conclude each interaction with a warm invitation to return.
- Represent Aesop’s values and seek support for continuous improvement.
- Follow grooming guidelines and retail standards to deliver a consistent five-senses experience.
- Complete stock, inventory, and store-presentation tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience working successfully as part of a customer-focused team, ideally in retail or hospitality, with attention to detail in selling and delivering tailored experiences.
- Customer-focused and commercially driven mindset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in tactile product demonstrations.
- Passion for selling premium products and enthusiasm for Aesop’s skincare and fragrance offerings.
- Ability to work on the sales floor for extended periods, use stairs and/or a ladder as necessary, and regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including weekends; full availability is required on specific weekend dates.
- Availability from November 1, 2026, through January 16, 2027; vacation cannot be accommodated during this period.
