All applicants ought to know these basics about Breguet before applying or interviewing for any role.

Founded in Paris in 1775 by Abraham-Louis Breguet, the house is one of the most historically important names in watchmaking, making it especially appealing to candidates drawn to deep heritage and technical prestige.
Breguet pioneered or refined landmark horological inventions including the tourbillon, so careers here often sit close to the brand story that shaped modern haute horlogerie alongside peers like Vacheron Constantin and Patek Philippe.
The brand now operates within the Swatch Group, giving employees access to the scale of a major luxury watch conglomerate while preserving Breguet’s distinct high-watchmaking identity.
Signature design codes such as guilloché dials, blued Breguet hands, and fluted casebands mean roles in product, retail, or marketing require strong sensitivity to craftsmanship details rather than trend-led luxury alone.
Because Breguet spans both complicated watches and fine jewelry timepieces, it can offer broader career exposure than a purely technical manufacture, with touchpoints that overlap the worlds of maisons like Cartier and Piaget.
Breguet’s clientele has historically included royalty, scientists, and cultural figures, which reinforces a workplace culture centered on discretion, education, and long-term relationship building in client-facing roles.
